Dog surfing is a popular activity on Oahu. There are many different beaches where dogs and their owners can enjoy the waves together. Here are some of the best dog surfing beaches on Oahu:
1. Makapuu Beach Park: Makapuu Beach Park is located on the east side of Oahu and is a great place to bring your dog surfing. The waves here are relatively small, making it a great place for beginner dog surfers. There is also a dog-friendly hiking trail nearby that you can explore with your furry friend on cooler days.
2. Kailua Beach Park: Kailua Beach Park is located on the windward side of Oahu and is a popular spot for both dog and human surfers. The waves here can be a bit more challenging, but there are plenty of beginner-friendly areas as well. After a day of surfing, you can relax on the beach with your dog and enjoy the stunning views.
3. Waikiki Beach: Waikiki Beach is one of the most popular beaches on Oahu and is also a great place to take your dog surfing. The waves here can be strong, but there are plenty of areas where they are manageable for beginner surfers. Plus, the beach is so beautiful that it’s worth braving the waves even if you’re not a surfer.
